Back To It as a Brand Marketing Exec
September 18, 2011
To say its been a while since my last blog post would be an understatement; to say its been 283 days would be an actuality! Whichever way you look at it, I’ve had a corker of a blogging breather and believe it or not, this has been fueled by a legitimate reason
legitimate reason: I got a new job
In a nut shell, I’ve moved away from the security blanket that was search marketing and am now applying the lessons learnt and experiences gained in my new role as a brand marketing exec for one of the fastest growing online retailers in the UK (go me!)
Let me tell you what I’ve been up to in my brand spanking new job (scuse the pun!):
1. I am social media lead where my mission is to engage, enthuse, excite and continue to develop a community of Facebookers, followers, blog readers and content subscribers – no easy task I tell thee, but as with every challenging task, it’s a whole lot enjoyable!
2. I’ve been tasked with increasing the frequency of visit to our website. Our lovely customers visit us every two weeks on average and creating a seismic shift in this online behaviour falls within my remit – lucky me eh? I think so too!
3. Whilst I’m employed by an online department store – our offering is predominantly fashion and ensuring that our communications are underpinned with a look and feel that is perceived as ‘fashion credible’ by customers, peers, competitors and media is also on my “Things To Do” list.
In summary, I’m a busy lady at present; knee-deep in engagement levels, up to the eyeballs in frequency measures, initiating innovation whilst in a state of constant competitive analysis.
Busy but buzzing and glad to be back blogging.
